About Book
Hannah's Helpers
A Story About Asking for Help, and Getting It
Hannah’s Helpers follows three-year-old Hannah through a single, meaningful day. It starts with worry, when Hannah notices her friends outside look upset, and their cat, Sunshine, is stuck high in a tree. What follows is a gentle journey through everything young children experience when they need help: noticing the problem, finding the right person to ask, waiting for that help to arrive, and feeling the relief and gratitude once it does. Along the way, Hannah also learns that sometimes the people who love us don’t always understand what we need right away, and that it’s okay to keep trying until we’re understood. Written with early childhood development in mind, this story is meant to be read again and again, each time reinforcing a simple truth: asking for help is brave, not weak. It’s a story for little ones just starting to find their voice, and for the grown-ups helping them use it.
